Catawba Indian Nation Office
Catawba Indian Nation, SC.
The Catawba have lived on their ancestral lands along the banks of the Catawba River dating back at least 6,000 years and their 700-acre reservation is becoming a flagship for tribal economic development. This project, the Catawba Nation Administration Building, is intended to convey a modern structure crafted with natural materials and embody a community rich in heritage and living in harmony with the land. The Catawba people call themselves yeh is-WAH h’reh, meaning “people of the river,” represented by the impression left in the logo wall on the front façade.
