Montgomery Whitewater

Montgomery, Alabama The $90 million Montgomery Whitewater Park will provide the latest in seamless outdoor recreational experience completed in July 2023. This facility is a natural enclave where participants can paddle, bike, climb, run, eat and relax. This re-circulating whitewater park in the latest edition of this project type. The design of a world-class re-circulating whitewater facility and outdoor lifestyle park has to take into account the impact of multiple factors including building location, participant flow patterns, activity orientation and aesthetic continuity. Buildings include a river center, boathouses, pavilions, ancillary buildings and the pump and control structure. The buildings support approximately 3,500 linear feet of channels for whitewater activities along with and swift water rescue training. Liquid Design was responsible for the master planning, program development, & full architectural services, including construction administration.
