Outdoor Adventure Resort & Spa
Charlotte, North Carolina.
Situated within the US National Whitewater Center's property, this $85 million adventure resort is designed as an immersive outdoor recreational retreat. Anchored by 120 guest rooms, the resort features a full-service restaurant, and a 16,800-square-foot conference center to accommodate events and gatherings. A collection of specialty amenities—including a Norwegian style spa and wellness center, two resort-style pools, and a dedicated trail center—support the resort’s active lifestyle focus, serving as gateways to hiking, trail running, and mountain biking experiences across the expansive natural landscape. In addition to the main lodge, a series of cottages and overnight chalets are strategically sited to follow the site’s dynamic topography, offering guests private views and a deeper connection to the surrounding environment.
Liquid Design provided conceptual design services for entire resort and spa development, including master planning, architectural programming, building design, and detailed visual renderings. Our work supported a vision of architecture that harmonizes with the land, creating a destination that fosters wellness, adventure, and a deep appreciation of the outdoors.
